I hired Don to remodel my bathroom so that my grandfather could get in and out with a wheelchair. Don provided me a quote that was to provide basic materials and an allowance for the tub and vanity. Don was never at the construction site and left what was obviously unskilled workers at my house who made mistake after mistake and I will now be paying more to fix the damages they caused then it cost in the first place. The work was never finished, Don called me at work the last day we were there and wanted me to meet him at the house for the final payment because they were finished. When I got there, they were far from done, they had broken the vanity that I paid for while trying to install the vent fan. The bathroom door was on crooked and would not shut, the tile was not installed correctly, they move as you walk across them,(come to find out the sub floor was never screwed down) the lighting was never installed. the jetted tub was not wired correctly and the tiles around it leak, which is right where the plug is. They also left my house in a HUGE mess, ruined the hardwood floors in the hallway and hit my front door with something which knocked part of the frame off. The ceiling is already cracked all the was across and starting to fall in, the vent fan they installed is currently starting to fall out of the ceiling. they installed 2 cold water lins into the bath instead of 1 hot and 1 cold. the drain for the toilet is sloped backwards and leaks.. leaks so bad in the 4 months since they left it has caused major foundation issues. I have also noticed once going under my house to find the plumming issues, that about 60% of the trash from the demo and their work was thrown in the crawl space of my house. Dan said he would return to repair the problems and has never shown nor answered his phone. He also came to me with a reciept for materials stating he needed them to complete the job which were all supposed to be included as basic materials and charged over 900 more then he quoted. I have many pictures of the work as it was being done and how it looks now, please do not hire him.
