In the early 1970s, the first design/construct project Barrie Scott performed was an addition to a residence on Westmoreland Place in the prestigious Central West End area of the city of St. Louis. It was his first experience in being both architect and builder. In following years, he participated in numerous commercial and industrial design/construct projects and developed an expanded appreciation for the advantages of the design/construct project delivery system in delivering high quality services to clients.
