ULTIMATE NIGHTMARE AND I DO MEAN NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!! First of all David Karat is a predator and nothing LESS. Preys upon his customers while doing business mortgages and this Always Construction bulls*&t. He may pop up doing other ventures aka: Premier Properties in Enfield... who knows, but he does not work alone. Prior to doing business, do yourself a favor and do investigating on his legal issues within the last 6 years (as much as you can learn). He has been in the newspaper within the last 3 years doing illegal deeds. Please do not take these Terrible ratings with a grain of salt.

Do not do business with alwaysconstruction, Dave Karat, or Mark prato. They are the scum of the contractor world. I've been trying to get them to finish my deck for over a year. I am taking them to court very soon to get my money back. They had unskilled cheap labor. They told me I didnt need a permit.

They would say they would be here on Monday and nobody would show or call. When I called they would tell me it was raining over where they were so they assumed it was raining at my house. Or Dave would shift blame to Mark, Mark would shift blame to their employees. They even lied about firing one of their emlpoyees, but then the employee showed up in a company truck to see if he left any tools here. It was a NIGHTMARE dealing with them. All three references on his list are employees of the company, not clients! mark is a co-owner, stephanie is Daves secretary and Greg is their computer guy.

They are smooth talkers, but don't follow through.

There is not enough room here and not enough time for me to tell you how incredibly BAD this company is!! For starters,anyone that is considering using this company,please feel free to contact me at paulid@comcast.net and I will e-mail you photos of how they destroyed my roof,my yard and caused thousands of dollars of water damage inside my house.Under no circumstances should you trust the owner...DAVE KARAT or his workers.For starters,after 3 months,my roof on my house was still incomplete,(standard 2 family house).Numerous times,they failed to cover the roof with a tarp causing tremendous water damage inside my house.My bushes and yard were destroyed.Workers NEVER cleaned up after themselves.Drank beer on the job.Complaining to Mr.Karat did absolutely no good.Plus,the work they did was horrible.They laid the new sheathing OVER the original wood shingles!!!! I had to finally hire someone else to finish the job.Mr.Karat promised to refund me my money but that never happened.Also,be careful.Their insurance company dropped them and they most likely do not have insurance.Mr.Karat's partner...Mark Prato...finally got smart and left the company,(unlike Mr.Karat,he does have integrity).Ironically,Mark Prato's name is listed on the bottom of the web page as a reference.If you contact him,I am sure he will also tell you to stay FAR away from Always Construction. You have been warned.
