| Project Description: Our home was built in 1905. the original fireplace has been filled in with cement and the chimney removed. This, we were told, was due to a chimney fire. We would like to rebuild the fireplace and chimney to, as close as possible, the original look. A bathroom has been added to the upstares where the old chimney ran. The original fire box will have to be jackhammered out and removed first before repositioning the hearth and chimney. We would like to face the fireplace with stone, or foue stone, to mach the foundation and wall outside. The living room is 18'x20'. |
