| Project Description: The lot is fully wooded and will require tree removal and grading, to include a new driveway path/ parking pad for the addition. We are considering two options for the addition. The first option is to attach it by adding it to the side of the existing house, a 1970 Rambler with brick and Asbestos Siding. This would also require removing part of a deck structure that wraps around the side and back of the house. The second option is to build the structure as detached but mostly parallel with the house. The size of the addition is to be a two car garage width and two car length ( + ) deep structure. The front will accomodate two cars with a wall separating the back which we want to be wired for my husband' s woodworking shop. The inside of the garage will not be finished by the contractor. We will custom finish once it is properly wired. If we decide to go with the attached garage structure the roof of the entire house would need to be replaced as well. We would like to go with the " tin look" roofing if possible. Because of the woods we suffer alot of moisture and lack of sun which enables moss to grow. We also need something that can withstand tree branches being blown on it regularly. |
