| Project Description: Our house was built around the 70s, and at the time, the houses in our neightborhood did not have basements, but they did have crawl spaces under the houses.. The family that owned the house before we bought it, attempted to build a basement after the house was built... The ceilings are way too short, even for me, and I'm 5'11"... It leaks, and has even flooded up to over a foot deep!! We THINK the issue back in the 70s was that the family had hit ROCK where they were digging the besement floor out and couldn't go deeper, therefore, couldn't finish the job, and gave up.. Leaving us to clean up the mess,,,literally... However, my mother is getting engaged soon and wants to leave her house to me and my family... I want to homeschool my son, and any future children, and would love to make my basement a classroom/office for my business... I didn't know if maybe there are new ways of digging through rock now, (please, please, please!), but I would appreciate ANY advice you could provide me with... Thank you so much from me and my family!! :) |
