| Project Description: I have an asphalt one-car driveway that has cracks and is crumbling in places. When we bought the house in 2001 the asphalt was pretty new, but has had NO maintentance since then. I would like to expand the driveway to the edge of my property so two cars can park side by side (we currently have a rock and mulch landscaping that we'll remove). I like the asphalt because it stays warm enough in the winter that I don't have to shovel, however, I prefer the look of concrete. So, I'd also like to know the cost of removing the existing asphalt and re-doing the entire area in concrete vs just improving the current asphalt and adding an additional parking spot using asphalt. Also, our sidewalk has shifted enough that weeds are growing between it and the curb - I would like to repair it so that the curb and sidewalk are level again. The driveway and sidewalk aren't too large - no idea on their measurements - we can park three cars in front of the house next to the sidewalk, and when our SUV is in the driveway, we can squeeze our Corolla in behind it, with a little sticking out into the street. |
