| I have a remodeling problem with this contractor who signed contracts, promised on the contract to have the work done in 7-10 days & to be "above satisfaction of homeowner). He has given me a copy of a license & a bond certificate. Start date 3/17/08. It is now 4/25/08 & we are in a terrible state of dissaray. I checked the Better Business Bureau, looked on the internet & called a couple of references before we contracted with him. He has removed all the doors & drawers of my kitchen & 2 bathrooms. Sanded, revarnised the unremovable cabinets but they are not finished. Returned some of the drawers refinished & a few doors. Most are not returned. Some of those that are are not varnished. He has cut into & destroyed a display cabinet. Let tape pull the ceiling popcorn off the ceiling. Broke most of the edging off my vanity in the guest bath. It is ceramic tile. The sink he moved into my utility room has no cold water. He is not taking calls. I have followed the contract to the letter, made the downpayment & the middle payment, however, refused to pay anything additional until the job was finished as per the contract. He calls with excuses. Makes promises to be here but never shows up. He called on Monday said he would be out Tuesday at 10:00. Called Tuesday at 10:00 to say he was running late. (always has been 1 1/2 -2 hours late every time) Also said all his help had quit but that he had all the drawers, etc. loaded & he would be here in a little while. He never showed up at all. I am now unable to reach him on his cell phone. It says he is not taking calls at this time. This is a long story. These are just the highlights. I don't know where my cabinet parts are nor where to turn now. He has also taken a brand new sander that I had & promised to buy me a new one. I believe it is now a theft! I have grandchildren who are moving to the other side of MO & I wanted to have them a few days before they left. I have a one year old. I simply am unable to have them when I have no doors on my cabinets. I have vehicle license #s & have tracked down addresses but am now sure if any of them are the correct one. I would love to discuss this with someone if you have any ideas of what we should do now. | |

rebuttal has been added: This woman is the customer that no one can PLEASE . She fabricated 90% of the story above . If I did not loose over $3000.00 on her project . I would sue her for Fraud and Slander ! I still might if she keeps it up !! Kathy Miller's own son is a Contractor he would not work for his own mother and all his buddies who are contractors would not either . I also obtained court documents showing proof that she is always disgruntled with contractors no matter what !! She filed more than one Lawsuit against more than one ,Legit and Reputable Contractors who settled just as any one who owns a business would ! I TRIED EVERY THING EVEN FINISHED AFTER SHE POSTED MANY LIKE THE ABOVE... Then she decided not to pay C.C.C. what they were owed . DON'T WORK FOR KATHY MILLER OF BELTON MISSOURI !!!
